Overall, car picked up as scheduled, car delivery was prompt, and the car was undamaged. However, I did have some other issues when using Amerifreight to ship my car. First, during the order process, I requested additional insurance, andthe price quoted to me over the phone was done with that in mind. When I received the quote via email, insurance was not mentioned. I called Amerifreight, and I had to pay an additional $95, so I felt that I was rope-a-doped. Second, we paid for door to door delivery, but the driver, upon arriving at the delivery city, said that he could not take his truck into a residential neighborhood, and that Amerifreight did not pay him for door to door service. I had to find a friend to come with me to a nearby retail parking lot to take delivery. When I called Amerifreight about this, they said that was not their problem, that it's the responsibility of the driver to make sure they can reach the delivery address, and they wouldn't refund any money. So once again, I felt rope-a-doped, that I paid for but didn't receive the agreed upon service. I'm unhappy that Amerifreight did not own the entire process from start to finish, but they view their responsibility as ending once the order has been picked up by a transport company. That's not how I view it, but I guess that's how it is when working with a broker, which Amerfreight is. There's a potential for a disconnect between them and the actual transport company. In the future, I think I'll may try to find a company that does its own transport and will own the process from start to finish.
