WOW! I am extremely pleased with AmeriFreight and the delivery service provided by Taylored Lanes Transport.
I found my perfect car, a 2013 Subaru Tribeca, but unfortunately it was in Sioux Falls, SD and I live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. So, I searched the internet for the "Best Auto Transport Companies" and AmeriFreight was listed as one of the top 5 providers. They gave military discounts and had good reviews. So, I called and Lecia Phillips actually answered the phone. She gave a quote of about $1,400 for an enclosed truck. She explained that AmeriFreight is a broker and charges a fee for brokering a transport company, and that different drivers would bid for the job, and she would select the one that made the best offer in both timing and pricing. For that service, I was pleased to pay their $215 discounted broker fee. Lecia earned every bit of it.
Clint Christensen, who owns Taylored Lanes Enclosed Vehicle Transport, agreed to accept the job for $1,400, with a Tuesday pickup and a Monday delivery. Clint was the consummate professional and stayed in touch with me throughout the trip. Lecia also stayed in touch confirming the pickup and delivery. Clint called on Saturday to let me know that he was able to deliver my car on Sunday - a day ahead of schedule.
Because of the size of his truck, we agreed to meet at the Home Depot about 1/2 mile from my house. Clint's truck was impressive, high-gloss black, and immaculate inside and out. You could tell that he took great pride in his work and was used to transport high-end cars. Coming from South Dakota, my car was in the back of the truck. The second car off the truck was a 1957 limited edition Corvette in show-room condition that had been bought for over $100,000 and Clint was delivering it after delivering my car. Needles to say, it quickly drew a crowd of admirers. Unfortunately, no one cared much about my new car - the Subaru Tribeca, which looked brand new and was also in show-room condition. Clint treated it just as though it was a $100,000 car. I was so pleased that I gave him an extra $100 for doing exactly what he said he was going to do and even showing up early.
If AmeriFreight and Taylored Lanes are used to transport $100,000 collector cars, they should be a great choice for everyone.
