After getting several quotes for a cross country transport of my car, I chose Amerifreight who was at the lower-middle price range. The broker and transport company both provided good service. I mostly worked with Amy from Amerifreight and Paul from Blue Angels who answered my questions promptly, politely and honestly.
The only hitch was the pick-up which was not exactly door-to-door and a day late. Although most services say "door-to-door", sometimes it's just not practical or possible when they send a large truck that can't navigate a residential neighborhood. The delay was partly weather related (winter in the Northeast) and partly due to the driver who was not responsive.
Overall, I would definitely work with the broker and the transport company again. I have to give an extra kudos to Paul G at Blue Angels Express who helped get me to my car on a Saturday! His drivers were all out on the Friday for other deliveries, I was in a new city and really needed my car to run errands and get to work on Monday. When you transport a car 3,000 miles cross country, something unexpected is bound to happen but what counts is that Paul really came through. So thanks again!
