Over a month after I received a very prompt quote on the car shipment, I finally followed through and contacted AmeriFreight about proceeding with the shipment. They were again very prompt and very helpful. I had heard that car shipments could cost $2000-3000 and feared that I would need to lease a car when I moved, adding to a great number of anxiety-inducing worries I was having from planning my big move. With Mr. Rick Morris, I had all the information I needed within the first 5 minutes of our conversation. Within a couple days, I received word about a bidder who had a great price! Please note that I marked my car as "dirty" upon arrival at the destination state, but due to the severe drought and overall dustiness of the area being adjacent to the desert, everyone's car here is very dusty like mine was. It is just inevitable with it being in an open carrier. I wouldn't change anything about what I chose to do for bringing my car across the country.
