PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU SELECT ANYONE!!! I can save you all the aggravation and heartache that I went through initially if you will simply read this review. And NO, I didn't get paid or receive any discounts for this review. This was not the first time that I had a vehicle shipped BUT it was the first time that I was responsible for setting up the transport. I did all of my due diligence (at least I thought I did) on the Internet. I searched for the Top 10 transport services (not even close to being accurate) only to discover just how DISHONEST this industry is. I requested quotes from about 8 companies and got bombarded with the emails and phone calls telling me they "have a truck in my area with only one spot available so call immediately to book!" Turns out that isn't how it works!!! These guys are all brokers and they are just trying to capture your credit card number for their "deposit". They can't even look for a transporter until they have you locked into a contract. I became suspicious immediately, mostly because they all sounded like con artist. So I did a LOT more research and found AmeriFreight. These guys had awesome reviews so I reached out to them. My rep is Ali Jones and she is AWESOME!! She explained how everything works, level set my expectations and then she OVER DELIVERED. The deposit was more than most others I talked to but in the end the final price was the same and damn well worth it. No pressure from Ali to sign...she wanted me to feel comfortable that I was making the right decision...so I slept on it for 24 hours. I called her back and told her I was ready to sign up. She immediately sent me the contract. Unlike everyone else who lied and said they had a truck in the area, Ali submitted my "bid" and we waited about 24 hours for a transporter to accept it (think eBay bidding to appreciate the process). Ali assured me that this particular transporter was top notch so I accepted. Within 2 hours Don (transporter) called me and scheduled a time for pickup the next day that was convenient for ME. HERE is where I was convinced that Ali is awesome. Due to issues with the airlines getting my son to Arizona for college, I called Ali and told her I needed to cancel. Yes, I would lose my deposit but I had no choice. Ali called the transporter and cancelled. Within about 20 minutes the airport resolved the issues and my son was on the plane heading to AZ. I called Ali back and told her there was a change of plans and I needed to keep the reservation. No complaints, no excuse, just solid support on her end! She called me back within 5 minutes and told me all was taken care of! Don called me back and confirmed my pickup date and time again. He arrived within 20 minutes of the time he said which was impressive given the severe weather in our area at the time. Don was very professional and very nice! The original offer was to pick up the vehicle in Florida on Thursday and have it in Arizona on Tuesday. To complicate matters on my end I was shipping my son's Jeep to him at college and I wouldn't be there when it arrived. Don called me twice while he was in route just to keep me updated. Severe flooding in the southeast had shut down over 100 miles of I-10 westbound between Louisiana and New Mexico. On Sunday afternoon Don called me a third time and said he had reached out to my son and would be dropping off the Jeep that evening!!! I received a call from my teenage son that evening confirming that Don had delivered the Jeep to my son's driveway right when he said he would. I confirmed that there was no damage, nothing missing, etc. My son even said that Don was "incredible"!!! What started out as a totally miserable experience navigating through a bunch of con artists turned into an incredibly easy and trustworthy experience with Ali, AmeriFreight, and Don!!! Don't waste your time and sanity dealing with anyone other than AmeriFreight. I suspect I will be shipping my son's Jeep back and forth over the next few years...and you can bet that I have Ali on speed dial.
