After reading what seemed like 100 reviews from various online sites, I was scared to death at the thought of shipping a nice vehicle across country. But, I had to ship it to California or drive it myself and who has time for that! So continuing my search (and praying for guidance) I looked into AmeriFreight's reviews and did not read anything from other customers who were dissatisfied for what I consider negligence or dishonesty, so I called. Ali answered and it was sealed from that moment. AmeriFreight was the third company I contacted, but Ali's upfront honesty, knowledge, and willingness to answer all 400 of my questions, captured me. Within 15 mintues Ali had my information and told me to wait for a call back.
The very next day Ali called to let me know that a company, she had used several times before, was interested and ready to go. She also shared that the driver had a 99.8 rating which I found very comforting since this was my first auto shipment. The trucking company contacted me the next day, said the driver would pick up the vehicle that afternoon, and he did.
I was told the vehicle would arrive in California within 5-7 days. Then, the nation wide rain storms set in. I decided that it would be 7+ days because of possible weather problems between here and there. However, in 5 days my daughter sent me a picture of her in her SUV. There was no damage, no extra mileage, and nothing missing. The driver gave her a time to meet him in a nearby parking lot and when she arrived to meet him he was driving her vehicle off of the truck. She said they shook hands, she signed a paper, she gave him the agreed upon cash, and she left. Said it took less than a minute. Too easy!
I can not believe there was NO hassle of any kind with this type of transaction. CALL ALI! If I ever need to ship again, I will.
