I was overall very happy with AmeriFreight. I had called them two weeks before I was moving to Arizona, so the car had to be shipped out within a week of placing the call if I had wanted the car to arrive close to the same time as me. Jeff Schwartz, my representative, was friendly and stayed in communication with me throughout the process. A carrier was found within days of our initial contact. The only thing that was not satisfactory was that he was not as clear as he should have been about how the pricing would work. Jeff gave me a quote of about $775 and said that the company took the liberty of having a $200-$300 bargaining price with carriers in order to make my request more competitive. He also mentioned that there was a $325 fee charged for using AmeriFreight as the broker. I was under the impression the price of shipping would not exceed $1100, however, I ended up paying $1300. I just wish Jeff has made it clear that the $200-$300 cushion for bargaining was in addition to the $325 fee, and that the overall price would be $400-$600 more than the quoted priced. I ended up paying $1300 in total, which was not what I expected, but I was compelled to, given my circumstances. Again, I was happy with AmeriFreight and the driver they procured, just wish they had been more clear.
