Shipped car via open carrier from California to North Carolina in January/February 2017 - Overall excellent service from both the broker (AmeriFreight) and the shipping company (CAA Transport) and their drivers. They quoted 7-10 days and the car was delivered in less than 10 without any damage. No problems between broker, shipping company and the drivers. Communications is the key to a successful transaction. Get all the contact numbers before and during the shipment. Ensure everyone involved has your number and be available. Work with the people involved and provide a realistic deadline to include bad weather. Also, work with the drivers too. Take into consideration pickup and drop off points. Driving an 18 wheel vehicle into a crowded residential sub division is not an easy task. Make arrangements to meet at a location that will be easier and less stressful. Recommend paying by credit card it will cost a little more but less hassle since you would be paying the broker and the shipper with one payment. Lastly, use common sense, don't leave valuables in a vehicle while it is being shipped and if you are worried about damage get insurance.
