My move from Houston, TX to Burlington, Vt was in the thick of winter 2008. With winter storms raging across the East and Northeast I was extremely concerned about the logistics of transporting my 2000 S500 Mercedes-Benz all the way through the wintry weather. Yet, at the same time, since I am a student, I was concerned about the cost of transportation. My extensive online search of transport companies across the USA narrowed them down to about 6 possible vendors. I chose Amerifreight for their cost(the best) and their customer reviews on this site.
From the beginning I was subject to customer service of a level rarely encountered in today's wired world. Amy Woods who was my first contact with the company was always cheerful, courteous and helpful whenever I called her up for a question. The original quote of $770 had to be revised to find a carrier quicker but Amerifreight put in $50 of their own money. And when I consider the destination port(Burlington, VT isn't exactly the transportation hub of the country) and the time of transportation(record freezing and snow), it was very reasonable.
My vehicle was picked up a little late but I was not concerned - I'd rather have waited for a safe and sure delivery than rush things. Once picked up the vehicle arived within 5 days(amazing!). My battery had run down, the truck driver, Oskar, jump-started the battery . Couldn't have had a more pleasant experience for a vehicle pickup.
Throughout my contact with Amy and Chantell of Amerifreight I felt I was treated with the utmost courtesy that is so rare in any customer-oriented service companies these days. They went out of their way to help me and I felt that they had never forgotten me or my vehicle shipment at any time. These two ladies deserve kudos for their hard and conscientious work.
Wouild I use Amerifreight again? Absolutely! Would I recommend Amerifreight to my friends and colleagues? Absolutely again!
