A headache through the process, but worked out in the end

I used AmeriFreight to transport my daughter's car from Philadelphia to Florida. Harry was super helpful and quite informative. During our first conversation I learned the whole process of vehicle transport, and how brokers like AmeriFreight work in conjunction with the various transport companies. When the first company kept delaying the pick-up by days and were not able to give a definitive date/time, Harry was on the phone with them instantly, we canceled the order with that company, and he immediately found another. Although it was a bit more expensive, at least the car was picked up (although one day later than anticipated).
One word of caution. When the driver of the transport vehicle said he'd "get as close as possible", I expected that to mean closer than almost 7 miles away! He wanted to wait in a shopping center and have the car brought to him! I was able to look at a map and got him to agree to move to a closer shopping center (still 2.5 miles away) but he instead pulled into a side street slightly further. My son had to drive the car to pick him up so he could return with my son to the pick-up location (where HIS car was waiting) and then the driver took my daughter's car back to where he left the transport vehicle. While I understand that might be necessary had the car been on a small street, it was not. I just wanted to give a heads up, because the transport company never explained that this was going to be the process.
