Overall, the experience was very good. I would like to say "excellent" but here's why I can't. Communication with the shipping broker from AmeriFreight, Nicole, was, in a word, outstanding. Every question before and during the actual transport was responded to and answered quickly, usually within an hour or two.
A bit of frustration arrived when, though initially indicated as a "door to door" transport, I had to bring my vehicle to the nearest interstate (I5 - a four hours round trip) and it was delivered at an exit along the NY throughway, a three hour round trip from its final destination. At no point during the actual transport could I or my brother (picking up the vehicle) contact the vehicle transport hauler/driver. Their cell phone never rang, just immediately went to the outgoing message and ended with an auto message stating that the 'mail box is full' and that no messages could be left. Quite frustrating. So, overall, I'd give Amerifreight 4.5 stars and the actual transport company (West Coast Auto Transport Service Inc) 3 to 3.5 stars. Not (ever) being able to contact the driver was not good.
