Working for the high commission

In September 2019, several sales representatives worked behind the scenes to manipulate a higher rate from us so that they can get a better commission. The manager reluctantly got involved after numerous calls and emails, because we did not get any service and communications from any of the sales rep on shipping after they took our money. I had to be in direct communication with the shipper and we both wanted to negotiate a reduced rate for an earlier departure but we couldn't do anything because AmeriFreight did not response to either of us to finalize my insurance packet or modify the total cost. It was also confusing because I couldn't tell if I was booked with two shippers because two shipping companies called me about AmeriFreight, and we never engaged any other shipping bookers. Certainly not everyone at AmeriFreight has self-serving business practices because I was able to find two people who explained what should have happened and was empathetic. However, there is no compensation to the customer for their poor coordination and practices. I never heard if the manager spoke with the sales rep to correct these inappropriate practices. Be sure they through explain to how they seek offers for you and how you can reject them before you agree to a contract with them. This was the worst consumer experience I ever had because I knowingly overpaid and then got no service because the sales reps evaded us after being unethical in their practice. In the very least they could have delivered exceptional service after they took our money or the manager could have found a way to correct the mistake and honor their promise for the lowest price that they can find.

Prior to the dispatch of any vehicle, AmeriFreight's Customer Service Agents provide each customer with a written and verbal breakdown of the costs associated with their auto transport. While carrier rates may increase depending on the customer's selected shipping options, AmeriFreight's fee does not go up or down depending on the carrier fee whatsoever. A higher carrier fee does not in any way raise commissions as this customer claims. It is always our priority to secure the lowest rate possible. Once a dispatch has been completed and dates / prices have been agreed upon, AmeriFreight cannot legally change the contracted rate, as it would at that point become an agreement solely between the carrier and the customer.
