Contacted them on Feb. 20, 2009 and got a quote (which they later raised by $200), on Feb. 22 transport was set up and they said it would be 7-14 days for pick-up. In the 61 days I waited for them to transport I received 4 e-mails and 2 calls to my cell phone. The calls were just to see if I could some how move a car 150 miles away so they might be able to find someone to transport it (no guarantee). After 2 months I called them and they got irrate with me saying they still had no transport lined up and it was my fault for not being able to move a car 1800 miles away to a more desireable location for them. Never again.

The customer shipped at the Economy Standby Rate. Most vehicles that ship this rate get picked within 7th business days. The customer was fully aware that the standby rate was subject to an upgrade option or adding money if we cannot secure a carrier. We continuously tried to find a carrier t our cost even though we hardly benefited at all from this order. We even added $180 to make the rate more acceptable for carriers. Because the customer was not prepared to increase the price or upgrade according to the contract and due to the remoteness of the location, we were not able to arrange a pickup yet. This happens to less than 5% of the customers choosing this rate. Often flexibility and understanding will make the shipment work for both parties.
