AmeriFreight quoted me $735 for basic, open transport from FL to CA initial communication excellent they ultimately found me a carrier (Big Red Auto Transport) for $100 more Big Red was the worst transport company I have ever dealt with. I have reviewed them elsewhere - DO NOT USE BIG RED.
As for AmeriFreight, they are responsible because they found Big Red and did little to assist me when: Big Red failed to pick up the car on the specified date and never called me; Took 3 days longer to deliver than the stated upper end of deliver window. Whatever review system they use to “screen” transporters is useless. I am lucky, however, as other customers had their vehicles damaged en route, and mine arrived in good shape
