I shipped a car from the Bay Area to NJ with AmeriFreight. Overall the car was picked up and delivered on time. The reason for three stars is that the initial quote of $925 was not very accurate with respect to the final price of $1146. They did not seem to take into account that this was not time sensitive and were trying to rush to get the car shipped. My individual customer service representative, Maleah Sanders, I felt was much more straightforward with me than the automated quote system. She thought the quote I got was low and guessed that the cost would be over $1000, so was far closer to the truth. I think that they use the low quote to hook you in relative to other brokers and then let their service reps deliver the bad news later. My second bad experience was that the company that they booked me with Bravo Express LLC did not want to give a receipt upon delivery. I tried to call AmeriFreight and Maleah was not on and the other representative, Bobby, seemed willing but unable to help me to resolve this issue. Obviously, not every representative can be on at all times, but there should be a system that allows them to cross cover each other with respect to information.
