When I decided to ship my car from NY to CA, I came across great reviews for Amerifreight as a broker. I was told that it was door-to-door shipping, so we picked a walmart parking lot to meet at until I knew what my address would be, and then I would be able to notify the company with the address change (I was flying in to find an apartment before my car would arrive). The day my car is supposed to arrive, Oveido (the driver/the name of his shipping company) tells me he is not going to be able to meet me at the new address, so I MUST meet him at the walmart because he is having truck issues. I am pretty understanding, so while this is an inconvenience for me, I got lucky because my new roommate decided to drive me to the meet location, which would have cost me $45+ had I had to uber. Instead of kindly explaining what was going on, however, I got yelled at on the phone by Oveido multiple times. I tried to call Richard (Amerifreight) to seek help, but my calls were never answered, so I had two options: not receive my car, or give in to Ovedio's demands. Next time, I'll just drive my car.
