My daughter drove from NY to CA without taking in the sights, due to timing. This was all pre-pandemic. Her plan was to fly home in March and fly back in June to pick up the car and take a leisurely cross country drive home. Then the pandemic hit, so those plans went out the window. Our only alternative to get the car back was to have it shipped. I selected Amerifreight because of their strongly positive reviews. I found those reviews to be accurate. They were easy to deal with, especially since they assign you an agent to work with directly. My agent was responsive and accessible. Also, depending on your needs, they have a number of options at different price points. I selected the basic option which meant that there was no guaranteed price or timing. Because there was no confirmed timing, I was delighted when I received the call a week later saying that my car would be shipped the next week. The car was delivered, door to door, in perfect shape. Do be aware though, that if you pick the basic service, the price is not guaranteed and as it turned out the actually price was much higher than the quote. Nonetheless, their price was no higher than competitors and the service was well worth the price.
