My experience with AmeriFreight was okay, but the transporter they decided to use (H&H Xpress) was horrible. First, the pickup was highly unorganized, frustrating, and uncoordinated. The coordinator for the drive told me they would pick up the car in the afternoon of the day of the pickup. After no call or texts and the afternoon coming and going, I texted and called, and received no response. Finally, they called and said they'd be there at 5:30 PM (certainly not the afternoon). After 5:40 came and went, I called and texted again. And again, no response. Finally, I received a call at night saying the truck could not come to my location. I was confused as to why this was because many trucks (including car shipment trucks) have come onto my street; it's wide and large. The explanation as to why made no sense and the coordinator could not verbalize why. The actual driver tried to call me but due to a language barrier, I couldn't understand when or even if he would pick up my cars. Finally, he said 7:30 AM the next day. I assumed that's when he would arrive to pick up the car. This was frustrating because I was flying out the next day and the plan was to pickup the day I scheduled it for. I had a friend coordinate the drop off, and the morning of the drop off, the drive arrived really early and with no mask. My friend happens to be an 80-year-old woman and vulnerable to COVID, so it was alarming that he arrived with no mask.
There was no communication during the trip itself. Then, one day, at 8:00 AM, the driver with my two cars suddenly appeared in front of my house. There was no heads up or warning, so we were caught off guard. Again, for some reason, he couldn't bring his truck to the very suburban street, so he parked his truck somewhere and drove the cars to the dropoff point. He also did not wear a mask, which, again, was alarming because my father (who is 75 years old and vulnerable to COVID) had to drive him back to his truck that was parked somewhere else. Additionally, there is a very large dent and scratch on my car's hood.
