I was a little apprehensive about shipping my car because the first company that I was dealing with gave me all of these "discounts" that were getting more and more shady!!! At one point, the representative (who I didn't know from Adam! Or Eve for that fact!) told her manager that I was her niece who had a child and was in school and was moving across country.. all of that to give me a price that was still higher than the one quoted by Amerifreight. Then the representative from the first company wanted me to go along with her crazy story! How absurd! So, you could imagine how I felt when I called Amerifrieght. A little scared?! To say the least! All I was looking for was an HONEST company who wasn't going to play games or claim any false kinship and happily, that's what I got! I felt a lot better about not getting the "Family Discount" or any other surprises for that matter! The initial price that they gave me was great and low, but they did tell me from the beginning that I would probably need to upgrade for a more defined transaction. So when I did upgrade to the Priority Rate (the last day of my scheduled pick-up-that was cutting it close!), I wasn't surprised and didn't feel like I was cheated or misled. The customer service team was a pleasure to work with (they actually returned my calls, followed-up, and were very professional) and the trucking company was good too! I had the driver's cell phone, so I was able to call him at my leisure and vice versa. It was a good experience all around and I totally, totally recommend them, even though we're not related!
