I moved from California to Tennessee in January. After reading other reviews I decided to use Amerifreight because they check out the trucking companies before they'll use them and I didn't have a way to do that. I contacted them several months before I needed the car moved, thinking it would be better to book a truck ahead of time, but as it turned out, all the deals are made in the few days before the transport occurs. That means I had no communication from anyone for several months except what I initiated. That was really my only complaint. Once we were within a few days of the move, I was contacted, told what price was being offered, asked if I was good with it, and when I said I would go with that price, they called me back with contact information for the driver. I had to arrange pick up details with the driver myself.
My first time doing this, so my expectations were different from how it worked. But the car arrived safely, so it's OK.
