When I got a new job 10 hours away, my parents and I decided it would be better to save the miles on my car rather than drive it there. I was between both AmeriFreight and Sherpa Auto Transport in my initial stages. Despite the difference in quotes, I ultimately decided to go with AmeriFreight A) I had a better experience with my initial phone call after my quote compared to Sherpa and B) because my mother had heard of AmeriFreight's name. I was initially quoted at $833 but I knew it likely would go up since, unlike Sherpa, Amerifreight doesn't offer a price lock guarantee and I was shipping in the middle of winter. By the end, my rep Kallie was able to find me a great auto shipper truck driver/ company and it was delivered safely to its destination basically overnight. While my total spent was a little more than $300 over my initial quote- my car was shipped and delivered in one piece. My only qualm is that it would've been nice to know how quickly the shipping can be as I had to have a friend pick up my car for me and gather the cash in a wild goose chase since I couldn't be there. I assumed it would take about a week rather than it get there overnight, so that did cause some panic to get my parking pass and the cash, but in the end, everything worked out. Whether it was Kallie or one of her coworkers, the AmeriFreight team did excellently at updating me as soon as the process started. For future people interested in shipping, just be aware that once your first available date to ship comes- be ready to be off to the races. On the day it was shipped, I woke up to a message around 8 am and by 11 am my car was gone. Please give yourself time to have your car ready, and depending on the distance, have someone at your destination if you're trying to ship ahead of time. In addition, the list of things to prepare the car would've been nice in advance as it says the specifics of making sure there's a certain amount of gas, things cleaned out, pictures taken for documentation, etc. A long-winded review, overall I 10/10 would use AmeriFreight again. Their main job of finding a reasonably priced driver/ company and getting it safely to its destination in one piece was accomplished and ahead of schedule.
