18634905Michelle Wood was a competent, personal representative for AmeriFreight. The negative comment(s) I have pertain to the vender's service. In general, I feel it safe To say that whatever arrangements I and the driver agreed to, regarding pickup and delivery, would never come to be. I know there is a window for pickup - drop off but if the customer speaks to the driver the evening before and is specifically told the vehicle will be picked up tomorrow morning, 8am, I would think that to be considered an appointment. After I called, he advised cancelling and his company had other cars for him and wasn't able to pick up my veicle; while I cancelled my appointments to be there for the agreed upon initial pickup date. For delivery, the same chaos. Scheduled for drop off early am only to later be told it would be 6pm as dispatch assigned other cars even though mine was on the trailer. The problem is that AmeriFreight has little if any control over the individual delivery trailers and companies. The venders, particularly the smaller ones, must come up with scheduling that ensures pIckups and deliveries are made the day they advise the customer to expect vehicle. Also, there is no cell phone in my location and I shouldn't be expected to sit by land line phone for three days waiting for the two hour notice. Make as daily schedule as every other service does, and adhere to it. Last, Amerifreight posted the transport at $525, 450 miles, however by the time I got a bid and running out of time, it was $975. Of course I didn't have to accept the bid but time became a factor. The system has to be updated.
