This was the first time that I ever shipped my car. I like to do my research and compare prices, so I looked at several carriers. I used google to find the companies, and then I compared them against BBB (Better Business Bureau). Some of them had bad BBB reviews, so I stayed away. I also used Transport Reviews to find the good ones, and this is where I saw the great ratings for Amerifreight.
I called several companies, and Amerifreight had one of the better, if not the best price! It was just $600 from Florida to New Jersey. Customer service was great. They thoroughly answered my questions and were very courteous. I think they also had good hours, so that it was convenient to speak with someone. They also check their e-mails often, and they responded to my questions during the shipping period. They also sent a kind of packing list that was helpful as I planned for the shipping. My dad was at the pickup place and the driver had his phone number so that they spoke to find the right time for pickup. I also had the driver's number, so that we discussed alternatives to drop-off. Because my street is a cul-de-sac, we determined an alternative place and it worked out perfectly. I just mentioned an intersection, and the driver had a GPS system to find it. The delivery was earlier than expected! The guy actually arrived in the late evening, which was inconvenient for me. We just arranged it so that I would pick it up in the early morning.
The car was in great condition, I have no complaints. I really appreciated how helpful the staff was, and how easy it was to communicate with the driver, which was a big relief. I really recommend this company!
