I had an OK experience with AmeriFreight. Our car was damaged and very dirty upon delivery. It was also delivered 9:30 PM in a poorly lit parking lot. It is the policy of AmeriFreight that the vehicle be delived in a well lit place or daylight and the vehicle to be clean. I feel that it is the responsibility of Amerifreight to filter their carriers so that all of them actually follow the guidelines. We did have ok-average costomer service from AmeriFreight. We reported the damage that occured with in one half hour of recieving the vehicle (after we washed it) and they stated that it was our responsibility to note on our letter of lading that it was delivered filthy dirty and in poor lighting in the case that there was damage. Being a first time user of a shipping co. we did not realize that it was our responsibility alone to look the vehicle over. Also we did not read the fine print stating that we needed to do so. In closing I highly recommend that you take the time to read the fine print and make sure that your vehicle is in the condition you bought it before you sign the letter of lading.

We were disappointed when this customer called us to report damage to the vehicle. We hold our carriers to certain standards, and if they fail to meet these requirements, they will be removed from our preferred carrier list. Our staff encourages customers to do a thorough inspection of their vehicle at delivery. Any damage found can be noted on the Bill of Lading and then submitted as a claim. AFTA is a gap coverage AmeriFreight offers our customers in order to provide additional assistance and compensation in a situation such as this one. We do ask customers to read all documents provided and refer any questions to our staff.
