I got a fair price from Paul Strausberg to transport my vehicle from Utah to Baton Rouge, LA. He told me he had scheduled a pickup with a carrier and had a specific delivery date for me. I went to my bank (Chase Bank) and transferred $150.00 to AAT's account (also Chase Bank). AAT never picked up my vehicle. One week later, I called to talk to the President of AAT, Mr. Thomas Molina. He asked if I wanted to cancel my order. I said yes and I wanted a refund on my deposit. He said due to their terms and conditions I did not qualify for a refund. After I argued my point with him, which was that his representatives lied to me about pick up and delivery dates and asked for a deposit without contracting with a carrier, he told me I would have a store credit in the amount of $150.00!!! This is the first and only time I have used an auto transport company. I highly doubt I will ever use a store credit, which is what he is banking on, I'm sure. This was a very frustrating experience. I will NEVER use AAT again. By the way, I spoke with a very professional gentleman named Mike Korberstein of Nations Auto Transport who had my vehicle picked up in 2 days and to my driveway in 4 days and was a pleasure to deal with. Please stay away form American Auto Transport and Mr. Thomas Molina who is not interested in customer satisfaction. They are deceitful and fraudulent.
I filed my complaint with the BBB. Below is American Auto Transports denial of any wrong doing. I chose not to accept their answer. I'm still waiting to hear back again from the BBB as to how AAT replied.

Mr. Thomas Molina, President of American Auto Transportation: I respectfully disagree with your response. I spoke with your representative, Mr. Paul Strausberg who clearly stated he HAD SECURED the last spot on a carrier for my vehicle and that I WOULD have my truck delivered to me by August 4th. Mr. Paul Strausberg did NOT say, mam we will put your vehicle on the next available truck and have it to you at some unclear point in the future. He was VERY CLEAR about delivery dates!!! There was a VERY CLEAR time frame given to me. That is WHY I agreed to deposit $150.00 with your company. I did not agree to give you the deposit and then wait for the next available truck!!! That is ridiculous!! Your Company, American Auto Transport, IS AT FAULT HERE VERY CLEARLY!! I would like my deposit back please, Mr. Molina. It is VERY UNLIKELY that I will ever use a transport company again!!! Mr. Molina, I sincerely hope you will reconsider your decision on my refund of $150.00. Thank you for your time in this matter. Sincerely, Gladys Edward
