It's difficult for me to reconcile the poor experience I had with this company with all the good reviews on this web site.

I was shipping my car from Florida to Wisconsin in mid-May, a relatively heavily trafficked route for snowbirds. I booked with America's Choice in mid-April, and reported the car as being available as of May 14. Having heard nothing from them a few days before that date, I began calling them to inquire as to the status. They seemed nonplussed that I would even be doing this. The day of my flight back to the North arrived, still with no word. Ultimately the car was not picked up until about two weeks after the availability date, and I had to sock out about $500 for a rental car. Throughout this time, ACA was uncommunicative, unresponsive, and unconcerned about the situation. Their sole focus seemed to be on whether or not they had, as of the date I was talking to them, explicitly violated the terms of their contract with me. Hey, ACA: good customer service does not consist simply of avoiding outright breach of contract, particularly when the contract is worded so as to bind you as little as possible.

To be fair, when the pick-up finally was arranged, both the dispatcher and the trucker were very pleasant and professional. But by this time it was no longer possible for the company as a whole to vindicate itself in my eyes.

Ralph, We apologize that your transport took 18 days total. Our normal transit time for this route is 14 days (4 days shorter then your time). During the snowbird season our pick up window may take a little longer because there are a high volume of vehicles waiting to be shipped. I apologize if you feel that we were unresponive, we did everything possible to get your vehicle shipped to you quickly. America's Choice Auto Movers
