Jesse placed an order with our company to ship his Porsche Cayenne. We spent a lot of time on the phone discussing him needing this done quickly and on specific dates because he was leaving town. AFTER we contracted his carrier, ON THE DATE HE REQUESTED FOR THE PICKUP, he called us to cancel. We told him before the card was charged and when he cancelled, that we charge our broker fee of $195 once the carrier is assigned and that is is non-refundable. We spent several hours talking to numerous carriers looking for the one that could meet his needs. He was very aware of the charge, however, he had received a lower quote and promise from another company and DID NOT cancel with us prior to his vehicle being assigned to the carrier. In fact, he did not cancel until the carrier was already in route to the pickup location. The carrier charged us a $100 DRY-RUN fee for the late cancellation.
