Good service--albeit late pick up/miscommunication

Very helpful in the quote process. However, I was told that then period between the holidays would be cheaper, given that many drivers would be looking for work during this "low" period, so I was originally quoted $650 for a 12/28 pick-up. This is what I agreed to when I faxed in my contract in mid-December. By 1/2, no pick-up. When I called, a different CSR asked if I had send in the contract; she didn't show that the arrangements had been finalized. After she did some checking, she transferred me to another rep who said that because the holidays were harder to get drivers and the rise in gas prices made it more challenging to get drivers, I was asked to pay $50 more to expedite my pick-up--this seeming to contradict what I was originally told, making me question if someone had 'dropped the ball' with me having to pay more than the quote/contract I had signed for. Because my wife and I needed the vehicle, I agreed to pay this additional amount.

From that point onward, the customer service was excellent, in terms of phone and internet updates and the driver contracted got the car to us rapidly and in great condition.

In all, a mixed experience, but still with a good result, resulting in my rating that I would consider this broker again--but I would do more follow up on my end to ensure what I thought was arranged was actually in motion.
