I needed to send my car from california to philadelphia because of schooling in Philadelphia. I go to the Drexel school in East Falls and here is my situation.

I was going to stay within Philly for about 5 days and I needed the car to be sent within those five days. Any shipping after that would be terrible because I would have had to move on to New Jersey already. I looked online to check for shipping companies that had a good reputation and it turned out that Angels Moving Autos was the highest ranked one. I called them and they were really nice.

First, I tried to get a quote online but the company did not have an online quote. However when I called them on the phone and explained my situation, they gave me a quote and told me that they would be able to find me a transportation company that they work with, that will be able to get the car to me on the exact date. Hearing horror stories about other transport companies, I decided to sign up with them and I paid my 225$ deposit. They informed me that the car would arrive on the 13th of August, give or take a day. They were true to their words and delivered exactly on that date. I paid the driver 1175$, totalling the cost to be 1400$. There were other companies with lower quotes online, however, they were not able to get the car to me exactly as I wanted. Angels was able to make that promise and had followed through.

There was one thing that I thought could be improved. I asked them before hand that, if my neighborhood was too small for the transport car, would there a place where I could go to meet up with the driver. They responded yes, saying that there was a holding yard. However, on the day that I received the phone call saying that my car had arrived in Philadelphia by the transport company, Pioneer Transports (contracted by Angel's Moving Autos), the company driver did not know where to meet me near my home. They did not have a pre-planned area to meet me up. In the end, I had to find a place near my home using my cell phone to call family members who had internet access ( I just flew into the Philly airport when I received the phone call about my car arrival).
This part, in my opinion should have been either Angel's or Pioneer's responsibility. Truthfully, they should have told me, "hey paul, this is the optimum place to get your car picked up." Instead, I found the area and had to tell them what streets were nearest to my area that could accomodate their truck. I ended up using a lot of phone minutes calling people with internet access to help me out with finding a pick up sight (I did not have internet because I just barely landed at the airport) and about 50$ for the taxi ride.

In the end however, Angles always called me before and after to ask me how my experiece was. Besides that problem of the the pickup site, this service and kindness was great. Angels is the company you should go to, if you need a company that is able to ship the car on a verrrryyyy tight schedule. Other companies that are cheaper might not do this and may prolong the time till you get your car because of how they wait for their trucks to fill up first, before transporting. This could take a while.

I am very pleased with the service because they were easy to call, friendly, and trustworthy. Trust was the biggest issue with me. Getting my car in one piece wias my main goal, and they made me feel reassured. Just remember that you might have to find the place closes to your home yourself to tell them that those roads will accomodate the huge transporter.
