Bad experience

The true character of a business is how they handle problems when things don't go right. My car was extensively damaged by their shipper when it was unloaded from the trailer. To date, my phone calls have not been returned by Angels. I didn't really expect that they would because they assume no liability for damage to the vehicle. The shipper, whom Angels selected and contracted, admitted and signed off on the damage to the car but refuses to pay. Say's he doesn't want to have a claim on his record. Ironically, he is willing to buy the car from me for more than 5 times the cost to repair but won't pay for the damages! Sounds like a scam! Lesson to all considering shipping a classic car, spend a little more and select a shipper that speciallizes in classic/vintage cars to make sure it arrives in one piece. Select a company that doesn't subcontract out the shipping. Companies that sub out the shipping have no stake when the shipper damages the vehicle. They are only in it for their commission. Make sure you have good insurace which Angels does recommend because neither they or the shipper can be held accountable for damages. Above all, don't use Havens Transport. The guy has no integrity and is a crook.

As the owner of Angels Moving Autos, I am always grateful that a review like this comes around once in a while. If all we had were 5 star reviews, people would know it was too good to be true. We are in the trucking industry, where stuff happens. In this case I can stand up for my staff and state that I know beyond a shadow of a doubt this customer has been called back. My staff has the best customer service in this industry, and I believe they go above and beyond the call of duty with each customer. Unfortunately, when a car is damaged, we always take the hit. I wonder if the customer posted a review about Haven Transport, I highly doubt it. To state we are only in it for the commission is ridiculous. We take care of each indidvidual the way we would want to be treated. I am sorry this customer is so frustrated and angry. Some people cannot work through their anger to get to a solution, unfortuantely for this individual that was the case. The staff at Angels was unable to resolve this because nothing was going to be good enough for them.
