Unfortunately, there is not enough room or time for me to explain how professional, courteous and patient all parties were regarding the transportation of my vehicles.
My fist call was to a competent competitor of Angel’s who had provided me with a quote of $950.00 to transport my two Mercedes Benz vehicles from Long Beach, California to Tumwater, Washington. As a precaution I elected to obtain a second quote from Angel’s. I received a quote of $1350.00 for Dena, the owner of Angel’s. When I inquired of her as to why I should spend $400.00 more to avail myself of her services she explained in a very professional and courteous manner that the quote that I had received from her competitor was extremely low and there was no way that she could see that any transportation entity could transport my vehicles safely and professionally for such a low amount. In a competitive spirit Dena offered to lower her fee $100.00. Never being one “to look a gift horse in the mouth” and because of her professionalism I considered utilizing her company’s services. While contemplating my dilemma, Angel’s competitor called me back and informed me that they had inadvertently misquoted me by $400.00. Although anyone could make a mistake it was the inadvertent misquote and Dena’s professionalism that were the deciding factors that lead me to utilize Angel’s to transport my vehicles. After receiving the revised quote from her competitor I contacted Dena at Angel’s and told her that it was not necessary for her to reduce her fee as her original quote was well within the limits of the current prevailing rates. She politely declined my offer for her to rescind her fee reduction and suggested that I might pass my savings onto the driver who would be transporting my vehicles.
Upon initiating my contract with Angel’s I immediately received the name of the trucking company (SK Trucking, Kent, Washington) who would be responsible for the transportation of my vehicles.
Since there were numerous delays with the escrow closing of my house in California, I had to change my vehicle pick-up date (s) numerous times. Both Angel’s and SK Trucking handled the changes with no difficulty whatsoever. As I am extremely “anal, obsessive and compulsive” and, as such, was continually “freaking out”, Dena, in spite of being taken ill with the flu for one or two days, kept me informed and reassured throughout the whole ordeal.
The transport truck and trailer arrived the night before the furniture movers, as opposed to the very same day. The driver was Vasiliy “K” and I have to say he was extremely professional and courteous. As much as I hate to admit it, I truly believe he was more careful and respectful of my vehicles than I would have been myself. He took every precaution to insure that my vehicles were placed on the transporter in a safe and undamaged manner. Since he was going to arrive in Washington before me, I requested of him, if at all possible, I would like my vehicles to remain on the transport trailer until I was able to be present to receive them in Tumwater, Washington. Vasiliy replied that he would make every effort to accommodate my request.
Ultimately, my vehicles arrived at my Tumwater, Washington residence intact and unmolested. Vasiliy was able to keep my vehicles on the trailer as I had requested, which was a great relief to my peace of mind. As a very satisfied and elated customer, I was honored and pleased to pass on my $100.00 fee reduction to Vasiliy. I nearly had to put “a gun to his head” to get him to accept my small token of appreciation. Except for the cost of my beloved English Springer Spaniel, the $1350.00 to transport my vehicles from California to Washington was the best money I ever spent. Thank you, Dena and Vasiliy.
