I used Angels in 2005 when i had to move my car from Philadelphia to Portland. The service was great and my car got to me in perfect condition. In 2005, there weren't too many 5 star carriers other than Angels.

So when the time came to move that car and another, I went straight to Angels. That said, there are definitely more alternatives available now. I probably should have called around a bit to see about pricing. The mover who moved my belongings gave me a slightly cheaper quote....

Anyways - The move went well. We scheduled a Sunday pickup, but the driver called and asked if he could pick up on Monday instead. Not a big deal, but just more chaos as the household mover was there at the same time. The driver did a meticulous job of documenting the scratches / dents / dings.

The part that i was VERY UNHAPPY about was that the cars were picked up with a local-flatbed carrier to be transported to the open carrier. For one car - no big deal, it went on the flatbed. The other got hooked up to the dolly with the rear wheels on the ground. I probably shouldn't care that much, but wear and tear is wear and tear. When Angels called to see how the pickup went, they did not seem too concerned about the pickup method (said, "I'm sure the car will be fine"). It wasn't about space at the pickup area - as I had a 40' pickup there that day to pickup my belongings.

Nevertheless, the cars got to Denver within 3 days of pickup (Monday pickup, Thursday delivery). Much faster than I expected. They were of course filthy. It was hard to know if anything was scratched or dinged under all that dirt. They were carried on the lower level of a 4 car carrier. The 2 cars on top were nearly spotless.

After spending $20 to get them cleaned in some touch free car washes (there was a lot of gravel caked onto the cars, so i didn't want to have any brushes touching them) they looked great.

Would I use Angels again? probably - but i'll also do more homework on other carriers....
