This company gives Truck Drivers a bad reputation.
On Tues Aug 18th Molly contacted me concerning a quote. I was clear that the car must be in TX by Sat. She stated it would be picked up Wed or Thurs and be delivered by Sat for $499 and required a $190 deposit. When I did not hear from anyone at the company I called back several times to attempt to verify the pickup time. On Thurs morning I spoke with Sharon and was told that the driver would not pick up my car for $499 but would charge $640. I turned down that amount to which Sharon said they would give me 2 $500 gas vouchers and would put $50 dollars toward the new fees. I would be charged $409 on delivery. When I still did not wish to go with the new amount I was reminded that the company had my $190 deposit. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told she was the supervisor. I agreed to the new price if the car was picked up Thurs evening, 2 $500 vouchers and the company pick up $50. Sharon was to email me the new documents. I had to again call her to get the paperwork after I had not received it in over an hour (the company had my deposit, I did not feel I had a choice) The fax coversheet I returned clearly stated that if the car was not picked up Thurs evening my entire deposit ($190) must be returned. The car was not picked up until Fri morning and my husband I were unable to leave for Texas until Fri afternoon. When the driver delivered the car we were charged $450. I called the company and again spoke with Sharon. She indicated that I had agreed to pay $640, and that she had no idea what I was speaking about when I said they were to put in $50. I asked to speak to her supervisor. She refused. It took 5 times of asking to get someone who was supposed to be higher management. Unfortunately I did not get the name of the next person I spoke with. I indicated that I wanted my deposit back based on their agreement to my addition to the contract (they received the addition and dispatched a driver) and for their unethical sales practice of promising thing and not delivering on it. I was on the phone for a very long time. The last person I spoke with told me that I had signed a contract with their company for the new amount (the contract does not state anything about vouchers or the $50) and insinuate that I was lucky they got the car to Texas by Sat because the contract I signed says they have 10 days from my requested date to pick up the car. I was threatened that they would impound my car if I did not pay the driver. At this point I had already paid the driver because it was not his or his company's fault. I indicated the next level of management had 1 hour to contact me, which was Sat afternoon. No one from the company has attempted to contact me to resolve this issue. Not only is the company refusing to return any of my money but they are also refusing to give me the vouchers that they claim I agreed to as the only incentive to pay the new price. Their sales area made promises that they are not willing to follow through with. I am filing a complaint with the BBB against them. The Driver and his company I would use again in a heartbeat, however I will never use this broker company again. FYI – I have 6 cars/trucks to move across the country to my husband’s new duty station. I will be contacting the companies directly from now on.
