I contracted to have Auto Cars Transportation move my car from Virginia to California. They quoted me $995 and told me it would be no problem to get the car out there. I gave them over two weeks to set it up. The time came to have the car picked up and they never contacted me. I had to contact them and they told me that they could not find a driver. I had to leave the state a few days after the scheduled pick up, so I had to make "other" arrangements to have the car picked up. It was very inconvenient for me and my friends who were helping me out. After 3 WEEKS without my car, and no idea when I would get it, I had to make other arrangements. After a month (a little over actually) I contacted A.C.T. again to cancel the order and request a refund for the deposit ($195). All they did was send me a form email where they cut/pasted just the part of the contract where it says non-refundable. I think I was very reasonable waiting a month after to cancel and I even offered more money to have the car picked up. Auto Cars Transportation was unable to meet the obligations of the contract and they are keeping my money even though they did nothing. It seems like they bid low knowing the car won't get picked up and just keep the deposit. VERY DISHONEST!!!!! I not upset that they could not get my car picked up, that's the way it goes (I guess). I am upset that they kept my money and they did not fulfill the contract.
