DO NOT go with this company if you have any sort of time commitment. If you have all the time in the world and you are on a budget, this is the company for you. This company is cheap and that is why I picked it, but I would say that next time I will pay the extra few hunderd to not have to deal with what happened again.
Good things
1) My car was not damaged at all
2) The driver was polite, honest, and communicated well.
3) When I called for customer service, people were always nice to me
4) They increased the "pick up" amount for the driver when no one was willing to pick up my car and they paid the difference (see bad things #2)
Bad things
1) When I left a message I got a call back about 30% of the time
2) Although they did pay the difference ($50), I had to pay the driver the $50 extra and it took 3 weeks to get the refund from the company, but I did get it
3) It took 29 days for my car to be picked up!!!!
Here is the story on the time issue, which was my main problem with this company. When I first made the order to have my car shipped with them, I told them the pick up town and the drop off town - now, the drop off town is a tiny town in South Texas, so I told them that IF they could not drop off there, I could have it dropped off in Houston and pick it up there (which is 5 hours driving from my small town, this would have affected my price comparisons because all other companies, although more expensive, gave me quotes for delivery in the small town). But the woman said No, no, we deilver everywhere. So I thought, great! When the time came for the pick up, I called and that previous lady was no longer with the company, which made me nervous. Then the new woman told me it would be "any day now" because the CA to TX drive is very common. Well 7-10 rolled by and...nothing. And this whole time my car was staying with a friend because I had moved already. I mentioned that we could change the drop off place, but they didn't think that would make a difference. Well after 25 days, someone looked into it and said "I didn't realize how far south your town is, no one wants to drive way down there" which, yes, totally makes sense, which is why I mentioned that when I first made the reservation. So as soon as they changed it to Houston, the car was picked up. If they had told me that sooner, I would have changed it sooner. Even though this is 5 hours away from my home town, the price was still the same because they charge by state. So I had to drive up 5 hours in one car with a friend and then drive back with 2 cars. There was SO much hassle in CA because you cannot just leave a car parked on the street in the Bay Area for 29 days, my friend had to move it several times and even got a letter from her housing community telling her that she could not park someone else's car on the street for so long. So all in all, with the extra gas money and stress this caused, I would pay a few hundred more and get it shipped from city to city with none of this hassle.
