Dishonest

This was my first experience shipping a car and I was not best pleased with the service I received from Auto Shippers America. They quoted me a price which seemed too good to be true. And it was. They demanded a $195 deposit before they would work on moving my car. My car ended up sitting for over a month without being picked up. Finally, after a month of back and forth and raising my COD, I was told that I was out of contract and would be refunded my deposit. In the end I went with a different company and they got my car moved the day after I listed it with them.

Debbie was nice enough but not always prompt in responding to messages. I also feel that the way my case was handled was dishonest. I was given an unrealistic initial quote and then cajoled into raising my price over and over again. Had ASA been upfront with me about what it would actually take to ship my car, the transaction could have gone much more smoothly.

ASA did not demand, but merely informed Ms. Chen of our policy. Further, the price quoted was in fact correct. This contract came in at a time when the drivers got hit with soaring diesel prices which caused a nationwide slowdown. ASA worked hard on Ms. Chens move and even added company funds four times on her behalf. We take no pleasure in Ms. Chens situation and she receives a full refund of her deposit.
