Was quoted $900 for a car shipment, and somehow ended paying $1350, 50% more than they repeatedly promised. I was double charged an enormous deposit (the details of which they hide and are ambiguous about in a contract that they make you sign before they do anything). They promise you a low quote and a guaranteed shipping date to lure you in, then after you pay the deposit and have signed the contract, they say they can't find a driver for the price they promised, and you have to pay hundreds more to get your car shipped (late, by the way).
The charge on my credit card came from Fox Transport and Logistics. Maybe this company is a front they just set up to scam people without linking to their main company's name?
Details on the "deposit":
You have to pay hundreds of dollars worth of a deposit when you first sign the contract, before they find any drivers or do anything. Then, after you have your car delivered and aren't paying attention, they charge the same amount AGAIN, because apparently you only paid 50% of the deposit at first. Basically it's a non-refundable "deposit" that you pay after the service is complete. This only makes sense when you realize it's just a fraudulent tactic to scam you out of your money.
