Brandon Bond of ASG was informative to deal with and came through with the shipping that he promised. This is a tough process for those customers like myself who only ship a car every 2-3 years. Some of the brokerage firms make all sorts of promises to get you to sign with them. That's unrealistic as most of the brokerage firms (to my limited knowledge) are going to the same dispatch board to obtain bids or contracts with independent truckers. So the ultimate cost is what the truckers will charge or bid for the route. The brokerage firms have little control. Low quotes to the customer result in no truckers interested. Therefore, if you want your vehicle transported, your brokerage firm needs to quote a realistic cost that will be the ultimate bid a trucker will do the job for.
Brandon was upfront about this process and made suggestions as what would actually get my car moved from NY to OR. Within 4 days the enclosed transport was lined up with Pacific Auto Delivery. I was put in touch with Pacific Auto and they put me in touch with the driver. Everything worked out fine despite poor weather. Thank you Brandon!
