Shipped Car Safely, Maybe Last Time?

We successfully shipped a car from CA to FL, but it took nearly two months of coordination to get a pick-up. We initially wanted to pay by credit card and were given a quote, but later were told to pay about $200 more and switch to cash since no transporters were willing to charge. This turned out to be confusion and miscommunication, since the transporter was ok with credit card. We could have saved quite a bit had we found the transport company directly rather than going through a broker, but I suppose that's part of the value that ASG provides.

The transporters were prompt, fast, and professional so the actual handling and delivery of the car went great. Google page ranks are dominated by auto shipping brokers, so it might be a bit of a challenge to find a transport company directly. For people with a non-complicated move and payment, ASG provides a fine service at the expense of a middle-man fee. We now have experience with this company and might use again if we needed to ship a car, but that depends on how successful we are researching transport companies directly.

There was too much drama and confusion with this transaction to warrant a very high rating and recommendation. Perhaps next time will be better?
