Stephanie was very helpful in identifying my timeframe for shipping from WA and receiving the vehicle in MD. I paid $1430 for an open transporter...a portion to Stephanie (via credit card), a portion to the cross-country transporter (via credit card), and the driver who delivered the vehicle to me (cash). The inconvenience started with the pick-up and delivery. The auto transporter arrived a day late. Since the company could not pick-up before I went out of the country Friday morning, I left my vehicle with a friend to be picked up on Friday. My friend waited all day Friday for a call from the transporter, but did not receive a call. Meanwhile, I was flying most of the day Friday and checked in while waiting on connecting flights. The auto transporter that was identified for this move did not answer their phone and their voice mail was full, so I could not leave a message.

We were able to reach Stephanie and she told us the transporter was in traffic on Friday, but would pick up the vehicle Saturday. I received a text from my friend that the vehicle was finally picked up sometime on Saturday. I do not know how long my friend had to wait Saturday, but it was a big inconvenience for her since I told her the vehicle would be picked up Friday.

The vehicle was to be delivered a little over a week later on the Monday when I returned stateside, but the paperwork had Tuesday as the delivery date and the vehicle was delivered Wednesday. I paid $200 more than originally quoted by Stephanie ($1235) because I started with a different transport company who listed the transport more than Auto Shipping Group. This was not a problem, but I expected the pick-up and delivery on the dates specified. They estimated the vehicle would be delivered in 7 days, but would hold the vehicle at a tow yard near by and deliver on the Monday I returned. The team was very accommodating to my timeline.


Having transported vehicles before, all in all this was not a bad experience. The last time I transported a vehicle it arrived 10 days later than originally quoted plus I had to replace the steering rack within 2 weeks of receiving it. I haven't had my vehicle for 2 weeks yet, but let's hope there are no major issues that I will identify after this transport.

However, I went through a lot of hoops trying to get your short time frame for pick up to work with a driver as well as the delivery not being able to arrive no sooner than a specific time as well. It was a little challenging trying to work both date requirements for both ends of the transport as we also have to try and bend with the drivers schedules as they work with 9 other clients dates request as well and we try to make a happy medium. I am however happy to hear this was better than many of your other experiences. Thank you again for taking the time to leave your feedback.
