Auto Transport is Great, Their Shipping Companies Are Not

I used Auto Shipping Group to ship my car from Massachusetts to LA. Samantha was very friendly and informative. I wish, though, that there was more communication between Auto Shipping and my shipping company, CAA. The driver who picked up my car was over 2 days late and unresponsive at times. After he was late, he asked if I could drive my car several miles from my home to his truck. I never agreed to this. At the time, I was working and my family was kindly at home to deliver him the keys. We couldn't drive to bring him the car. The service I agreed to was for my car to be picked up at my home. I was flexible telling him someone could bring my car to an open parking lot. On the second day of being late, the driver did not answer my calls until the afternoon and said he could not come close to my location to pick up my car. He complained to me about his prior customers and blamed his tardiness on them. After yelling at me, I ended up driving my car over 20 miles to where his truck was parked.
My car was delivered in a timely manner by a different driver. My car was being towed by a pickup truck this time. I would not have a car shipped by CAA again, although luckily, my car was undamaged. There needs to be better communication between Auto Shipping Group and the shipping company, CAA. Also, they should not advertise having your car delivered within 5 miles of your home if that is not the case. I recommend a 5 star rated company like Auto Shipping Group use carries that are as well.
For anyone looking to have your car shipped, I do recommend Auto Shipping Group, but do your own research on the shipping company they assign you. Demand a different company if you are skeptical. I should have.
