Transport of vehicle - Company defaulted

I needed to ship my daughter's car to Texas. I searched multiple transport companies and settled with AT123. I placed the order a month in advance (May 19). AT123 (Steve West) promised to pick up vehicle on June 16. I called on June 15th to followup but they still did not have a truck.(??) and told me that they would get back to me that day but never did. I called on 16th and was told not to worry, but still no followup. I again called on 17th because the latest the car could leave was the 18th and I needed 24 hour confirmation. Casey told me that there was a problem with their database and I informed her that if they could not pick up I would have to cancel my flights and drive myself.(She never called back). Bottom line, I had to cancel my flights & hotel and drive to Texas. I was and am LIVID. I contracted in good faith and if they could have told me anytime in advance. I could have made other arrangements. This cost me time and money. If I defaulted, I would have been liable for the cost. Well they defaulted and left me stranded...

About 15 minutes after writing this review we received a phone call from an employee at the company who wanted to know why I wrote the review and what they could do to get me to change it. She did not apologize or admit any wrongdoing and said that they did not charge us (?!!!) for not cancelling our contract. A few hours after the phone call this review was removed as the company said that we were not a customer.

We sent this review site a copy of the contract to get the review reinstated. A few days after this the review was once again removed - we sent a copy of our contract again and got the review reinstated.

The day after that the owner called. He apologized for the poor service and said that the employee had been reprimanded. He also sent a $50 check to help cover our additional expenses due to the last minute change in our travel plans, The owner's efforts to resolve the situation were definitely appreciated.
