Let me first begin by stating that I was extremely hesistant about shipping my immaculate BMW 540i across the country on an open carrier. I heard nightmarish stories from countless people regarding their experiences. A transport company, that a friend recommended; didn't ship to PA so I was going about this blindly. I acquired numerous quotes from various companies and read countless reviews to educate myself.

My initial ship date had passed and the quote had expired due to work being done on my car in CA. I went back through all the quotes and I contacted Mark at Auto Transport Center, Inc (ATC). He was more than willing to honor my original quote. He told me he could ship it within 5 days of our conversation and have it back in PA within a week. I was quite impressed because my car would then arrive 2 days before Thanksgiving which means a lot of traffic on the freeways. I had my doubts but to Mark and his team at ATC, it arrived on time without any problem.

The trip however, didn't go without incident. This is where the perfect trip went comically array. Let me explain to all that if I didn't have bad luck, I'd have none at all. Let the story begin...I received a call on Sunday evening stating that the car would arrive on Monday afternoon. I was told that I would receive a 2nd call on Monday when the driver was close so we could anticipate the car's arrival. I had to work so a friend came over to greet my vehicle. (A small sidenote is that GPS systems are NOT always accurate. This was something I already knew because my GPS and some internet map sites were completely inaccurate with their data. That's why I contacted Mark to make him aware of this issue prior to the car's arrival. Enough said.) I received my 2nd call saying the car would be arriving in about 30 min. My friend was anxiously awaiting in the house when he saw the transport truck drive to center of the intersection and stop. He ran out to the driver and told him that the driveway was behind him approximately 100 yds. The driver said he would take a loop around and be back to drop it off. This loop should take no more than 15 min. Fifteen minutes came and went. I received a call about an hour later stating that the transport truck was within one mile from my house BUT the driveshaft broke on the truck. I'd receive a follow-up call to when I could anticipate the car once again. I was told the truck could be repaired at the site. When I arrived home from work, the vehicle was still not here. It now had begun to rain and wind was howling. I drove down the road to see where the transport truck was and see how my precious vehicle was handling all the chaos. It was now dinner time and I could only imagine sitting in the cab of a tractor trailer with 10 cars loaded on the back trying to make holiday arrivals and keep to deadlines while starving in the front seat. I decided to take a plate of food down to the driver and a thermos of coffee. He was very grateful for the gesture. A few hours later the car was delivered safe and sound without a scratch. Unfortunately, this minor incident put the truck driver 8 hrs behind schedule. I hope everyone else who had a car on the carrier was as satisfied as myself.

Great service and a very professional outfit.
Yours truly,
Becky
