Upfront about logistics/timing, Michelle answered all my questions on the phone and via e-mails, drivers were very polite, and the car arrived much earlier than anticipated, travelling from western NY to JBLM (Ft. Lewis) in Washington. (The whole story follows!) I found this company through a reference from a local United Van Lines agent whom we have used in the past. Several weeks earlier, I'd started the research process, so I knew that their price was in the reasonable range; not the lowest, but I was happy that payment terms were clear; insurance was included, and the truck could come by the house so I didn't need to lift a finger. Michelle was very friendly and helpful, answering the myriad of questions I had. The pickup was confirmed while I was on the phone with Michelle on a Tuesday evening, for Thursday or Friday of the same week - we clearly got lucky with a truck heading in the right direction. On Wednesday morning, barely 12 hours after I talked to Michelle, the dispatcher called to say the truck was expecting to be here between 10pm and midnight, which was fine with me. At 8pm on Wednesday evening, the driver called and said they were on their way, but wouldn't reach me 'til 2am. We discussed arrangements for them to retrieve and inspect the car, so I wouldn't need to stay up. But I just wanted to wave bye to my son's car, so I was able to greet the two fellas at 1:30am. They were cordial and polite, did an inspection by flashlight (at least it wasn't raining!), gave me the paperwork, and then hopped in the car to take it to a convenient parking lot nearby to load. I had made arrangements with a car dealer to accept delivery of the car, as my son's schedule is not predictable and I figured that would be easiest for the drivers. I'd talked to a couple of dealers in the area before I picked one who was also very helpful in what to look for in an auto moving company (Gilchrist Chevrolet in Tacoma). They called me when the car arrived, and they only had one complaint that the delivering driver did not speak or understand English terribly well. So, my son has his wheels in as good a condition as they were when they left home, and I have one less car in the driveway! THANKS!
