Looking at all the reviews, I thought autostar was a better transport company but my experience was really really bad. I had my bmw ship from Minneapolis to Sacramento. My car was picked up 10 days after it was available for pickup.

When I requested a quote, I was told that it will cost me $850. Then they sent an agreement for me to sign and the cost in the agreement was $875. When I asked them about it, I was asked the sign the agreement and send it back, and they will take care of it. How can I sign an agreement if the price was wrong? After a few email exchanges, I was given the agreement with the correct price.

Later, I was told that there is only truck in december that is going cross country from Michigan to California and I need to pay an extra $75 for the fuel because mine was the only car in Minnesota.

I eventually came to know from the truck driver that he had other cars in Minneapolis to pickup/dropoff as well. What does it mean? Did Autostar lie to me saying that I was the only car that had to be picked up? Because I have been using a rental car here in CA, I had to agree for whatever extra charge they asked for. Otherwise I should pay for rental cars in CA until I find an other carrier.

It was picked up three days later than the scheduled date. Whenever I call the driver before pickup, he always said, "I will pick up today. I cant tell you the time of pickup. I will let you know when I come there". My friend was waiting for a call all those three days not knowing the exact time of pick up.

And finally, the delivery was late and I had to drive a greasy car straight to the car wash.

We appreciate all feedback from customers concerning delays in pickup and deliveries. Our apologies for the delays, however customer was kept informed of the current carrier availability situation throughout the process. Customer placed his order in November with a 1st available pickup date of 12/02. On 12/06, we located a carrier who was going to be in the pickup location on 12/10 with ETA delivery of 3-5 days, and the carrier was negotiating for a higher price of 75$ more. We called the customer and advised him of this offer from the carrier, and that he was under no obligation to accept this offer, and we would be more than willing to continue a search at the contracted price. Customer willingly accepted the offer, and only then was his CC charged for the deposit amount. On the scheduled pickup date of 12/10, customer called to inform us that the pickup had to be before 7:00pm, but that he actually preferred pickup the following morning. We called the carrier and thankfully they were willing to accommodate the customers request and pickup was made the following morning. Due to the adverse weather conditions at the time, carrier was slightly delayed on delivery. We do apologize again for the delays and the conditions of the vehicle upon delivery; however, delays do happen due to traffic, weather, and other conditions that are beyond the control of anyone. We wish the customer all the best. Happy Holidays from AutoStar Transport and Logistics.
