After the online request for a quote, an Autostar representative (Jane M) called me, listened well to the situation and needs, then worked within budget to find a carrier who could fit our schedule. She emailed a contract to sign electronically, which was quite straightforward. Jane was very clear about her hours and how to contact her -or the company- with questions and she responded quickly to emails and phone. When we asked to change the pickup, that was not a problem. Jane took the deposit via credit card over the phone, with the understanding the remainder would be paid to the driver COD. Once a carrier was dispatched (Kaz Auto in this case), Jane emailed us their contact info. and we were able to speak to the driver to co-ordinate. He arrived in Albuquerque, as agreed, to have papers signed and loaded the car -an inoperable VW bug- himself. The car arrived in Colorado a day earlier than predicted, though the truck driver called to check if that was OK first. We were happy! He skillfully positioned the large transporter and we watched him carefully unload the car. This was nice to see...as the other cars on the transporter were far more valuable than ours, yet it seemed he still treated the old thing with respect! Polite and friendly guy. We only had to push the car 10 feet to get it safely on our own driveway. This was particularly good service, as the VW had a mechanical breakdown far from home with my son driving alone. He had no phone, so was mainly communicating via email/instant messages from truck stop wifi. Jane was very patient waiting for me to relay the messages to my son in NM from CO. Polite, understanding and efficient is how I would sum up this service. All this with a very reasonable price compared to other quotes. I would definitely try this company again.
