lies, no intention to book a driver

called autostar for a car transport on august 25 and told them I needed this shipped asap, and that car was ready, they said they would have car transported no latter than august 29 or 30 for sure, they required a $200 deposit, I called august 29 and was told they had a driver interested but janes phone did not work so she could not call them, I knew this was a lie but let it go because she said she would have a driver either that day or next. I received a call from a man saying he was filling in for jane and if I was still interested in getting car shipped he had a driver ready, I told he yes book that driver immediately and get it going, he said he would call me right back, after 2 hours I called him and only got voice mail where I left message to call me, he never did, on august 31 I called janes number and got same man, he said driver fell thru, another lie, i called again that afternoon and could only get voice mail, i needed car moved and on September 1 i called another company and they said they would have someone that same day and did. i called jane again and again could only get voice mail, left message to cancel and return my deposit. they are refusing to return my deposit. this company is a scam, taking deposit with no intention to get a carrier to haul your car. Houston is the 4th largest city in the U.S., there is no reason any legitimate broker could not book a truck within 2 days. they are just in business to take your deposit,

Don, We are very sorry to hear your experience with us was not as expected. We appreciate your feedback and are always open to suggestions in order to excel as a company. We apologized if you at any point felt we were not on top of your transport, yet it is imperative that we don’t omit information that it is very important to show that we did everything in our power to assist you with the transport of your vehicle, which could not be completed since you requested your order with us to be cancelled. On 08/23, you were informed by one of our trained coordinators exactly how the transportation process works. You told her you were buying the vehicle and the check wouldn’t clear until 08/25 or 08/26. On 08/25, you called to let us know vehicle was ready to go, however at no point were we told that vehicle had to be picked up by a certain date as you stated in your review. The coordinator told you she would start looking for someone immediately, though chances were that your vehicle wouldn’t be picked up until the following week. Again, at no point were any dates guaranteed. Furthermore, it was not until 08/31 that we were told vehicle had to be picked up immediately. We told you we would do our very best to get it done right away only to find out on 09/01 that you started working with another broker while you were still within a contract with us. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist you.
