I want to share my extremely disappointing experience with AutoStar Transport Express LLC. I recently used their services for a round trip vehicle transportation from MA to CO, and the entire process was a total nightmare.
In October of last year, looking to ship my car on January 4th - 6th of this year (2023), I engaged the services with them to transport my vehicle from MA to CO, with a return trip specified. They quoted me outbound $1175, and the return trip was $1075.
Outbound Trip: Despite being informed of my car's dates and pickup window TWO MONTHS ahead, I was dismayed to discover that as of January 6th, they had not secured a carrier for the job. I had no choice but to proceed with my travel plans. On January 11th, they informed me that they had finally arranged a driver, but the cost had skyrocketed from the initial agreement of $1175 to $1995. Feeling coerced and without alternatives, I reluctantly signed the new contract accepting the new timeline and price. Finally, on January 14th, I received my vehicle.
Return Trip: In mid-April, I contacted AutoStar Transport Express LLC to arrange for the return transportation of my vehicle from CO to MA with a requested pickup date between May 8th to 10th. I planned to stay in Denver, just waiting for the car to be picked up, intending to fly back home on the 11th.
On May 8th, I received a phone call from them confirming that someone would come to pick up my vehicle on May 10th in Denver. Upon my arrival in Denver on the 8th, I called to reconfirm the pickup on the 10th. However, as of the afternoon of the 10th, around 4:00 PM, no driver had arrived. Worried, once again, I contacted their customer service for confirmation, and I was assured that the pickup would indeed take place on that day, possibly at a later time. However, to my dismay, no driver has ever shown up on that day. According to my original plan, I was supposed to fly back home the very next morning. Frustrating and not knowing what to do, I had to extend my hotel stay and modify my flight arrangements. Moreover, when the driver finally arrived one day late to pick up the vehicle, an additional charge of $200 was needed due to the pieces of luggage I put in my car. The total cost escalated to $1275, and I had no choice but to agree. In addition, I had to pay an additional $223 for the extra day of accommodation due to the company's miscommunication with the driver.
I believe that AutoStar Transport Express LLC has failed to deliver the services as promised and has caused significant inconvenience, financial loss, and frustration. I have attempted many times to resolve the matter directly with the company, but my efforts have been met with inadequate responses, and them blaming others for their own mistakes and refusing to compensate my extra—expenses due to their incompetence in any way. The company worked as a broker and had failed terribly on the only job they were supposed to do: helping their consumers and drivers to coordinate. AutoStar Transport Express LLC has proven to be unprofessional, unreliable, and incapable of providing satisfactory service.
I strongly advise against using AutoStar Transport Express LLC for any vehicle transportation needs. Their incompetence, delays, and disregard for customer satisfaction have resulted in huge unnecessary financial burdens and a significant waste of time and frustration. Save yourself the trouble and find a reputable and reliable company that values their customers.
Please be cautious and consider other options before entrusting your vehicle transportation to AutoStar Transport Express LLC.
