I received three (3) bids from national transporters via my email request. AutoStar representative Sonia Morshead, Transport Coordianator called me almost immediately and discussed in detail their service, price and possible trucking company availble in California to transport ourVintage 1982 Mercedes 380 SL Convertible. The delivery price was stated.I signed the contract, paid AutoStar and was assigned a tracking number. Sonia and I discussed insurance and estimated time of delivery after a insured trucking company had been contracted. I contracted AutoStar representative Sonia and make several requests for Johnson Trucking LLC representative Chris when loading our vehicle. My representative in California took photos and a make a video on the loading and the condition of my vehicle from all angles. That video was emailed to me immediately upon loading. I was informed that the transport would take 7-10 days to arrive in South Carolina since ten (10) vehicles were being transported. I called Keyla after the seventh day for an update on the whereabouts of the driver. Keyla contacted the driver immediately and called me back with his location and estimated time of delivery. True to Chris' estimate the next day he was in Charleston, SC on a rain soaked Friday afternoon. Chris called me via my cell phone as he entered the city. I was away from my home at the time with family and it took me almost 45 minutes to meet Chris. Before I arrived at our destinated point Jay was on the phone making sure all was well. When I arrived to take delivery of my vehicle Chris has already unloaded my car and had all necessary paperwork ready for my signature and release. I inspected my car carefully and found it to be exactly as photos and video had documented in California. I paid Chris his fee and thanked him for a job well done. I then drove a short distant to my home.
My experience with both AutoStar and Johnson Trucking LLC could not have been better. I was pleased that AutoStar had selected Johnson Trucking LLC and was delighted with the service that both companies provided.
I will only use AutoStar and request Johnson Trucking LLC for any and all Transportation needs in the future.
