I almost rated them a 1 only because they have one or two nice people working for them but as a broker they are not dependable.

At the beginning of April I gave Automotive Transport of McDonough, Ga a $100 deposit for a car I wanted transported to New York on or around May 29th, 2004. (I actually gave them a window of any day from May 20th to the 29th.) On May 28th (even with almost a 2 month lead time and a 9 day window to pick up) it was pretty clear they where not going to have the car picked up so I frantically started calling around to other carriers and to my amazement a number of them (especially the carriers themself's, not BROKERS!!) could have garranteed a pickup date in advance.

Because of the need to get to New York my wife ended up driving the car to New York on May 30th.

I did recieve a call from Automotive Transport on June 2cd saying they had a truck that could take our car to New York. With a two month lead time and a 14 day window (part of it theirs) they finally had a truck to haul our car. Needless to say we where already in New York on that date and said.....thank you.(I will never really know if they actually had a truck available or they where just saying that to make us feel they had delievered.)

Bottom line. These people are a broker and not an actual carrier. With a GIGANTIC LEAD time and a fair window they could not deliver and caused us some really aggrivation. They are keeping our $100 deposit and I truely believe that is all they wanted from the get go.

IN OUR CASE THEY DID NOT DELIVER EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD A TWO MONTH LEAD TIME. I WILL NOT EVEN CONSIDER THEM AGAIN ON OUR NEXT MOVE AND WOULD ADVISE OTHERS TO THINK REAL HARD BEFORE USING THEM!!

I am uncertain how to respond to a complaint from a customer so I am choosing the only method I see available. Mr. Aucoin states that at the beginning of April he gave to us a deposit of $100 for a car to be transported from New York. In reality, the order for this transport was place on Arpil 21st, three weeks AFTER the beginning of April. Even though his order was received on April 21st, the car was not first available for transport utnil May 21st. During our initial conversation with Mr. Aucoin, we advised him that we are in the peak season for transports and that scheduling could take up to 7 to 10 business days from the date his car is first made available for transport.
